PRESIDENT: Darlene Duke - Executive Director, Sweetwater Valley C.A.M.P.
Darlene Duke is the Executive Director of Sweetwater Valley Community Action Mission Program (SVCAMP) in Austell, Georgia. SVCAMP is a faith-based social services organization that provides food, clothing and financial aid to low-income individuals in the SW Cobb area. Now in her sixth year with Sweetwater CAMP, Ms. Duke held the positions of Program Director and Assistant Director before serving in her current capacity as Executive Director. Her employment history includes: division management in commercial floor covering, and regional management in the art and photography field. Ms. Duke is an honors graduate of both the AATC Business School, Kansas City, Missouri and Riverdale High School, New Orleans, Louisiana. In addition to serving as President of Cobb Faith Partnership, Darlene serves on the Cobb WellStar Regional Board and is Vice-President of Church Women United in Cobb County. As an active member of Austell First United Methodist Church, Darlene works with her church to promote services in the community to include a free pre-school program and a free weekly community dinner. The 2007 Recipient of the Jack Vaughan Jr. Human Services Award in the Professional category, Darlene has a passion for helping the less fortunate and uses that passion as a driving force to encourage others. She believes strongly in the power of the community and the importance of communication and collaboration.

VICE-PRESIDENT: Steven Yates - Program Manager, The EDGE Connection - Kennesaw State University
An entrepreneur and motivational speaker, Steven's expertise lies in both business-to-consumer and business-to-business marketing with more than ten years' experience with the US military, universities, and the private sector. Steven also served as regional director with North America’s largest M&A advisory firm, assisting companies with their financial and marketing needs. Steven enjoys helping small- and medium- sized businesses market their products and services worldwide. His areas of expertise include import/export, travel, healthcare, and professional services. A member of the Cobb Community Collaborative Board of Directors, Steven chairs the Planning and Evaluation Committee which oversees Cobb County’s grant review process. He is the Committee Chair of the Georgia chapter of the Society of Human Resources Managers (SHRM) Consultants PEG (Professional Emphasis Group) and an Atlanta Marketers’ Forum member. Steven is a Desert Shield/Desert Storm veteran and a life-time member of the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron Thunderbirds. Steven has two young daughters, JaNia and Brooklynn with his wife, Nicol of 15 years. He holds an MBA in Human Resource Management and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

SECRETARY: Kacie Dougherty - Development Director, Good Samaritan Health Center of Cobb County
Kacie Dougherty is the Development Director for the Good Samaritan Health Center of Cobb. First introduced to the field of non-profit during her studies at the University of Florida, Kacie completed her Bachelors degree in Family, Youth and Community Sciences. She has been able to have an impact in her profession by working with several organizations that provided a variety of services for troubled adolescents, gifted children, families and healthcare. Her work has included the areas of counseling, public relations, marketing, fund-raising, grant writing, and special events. She has had the opportunity to develop close relationships with many levels of people in school systems, large corporations, small businesses, government agencies and non-profits. While Kacie was born in Sarasota, Florida, she was raised in Memphis, TN. Eventually her career goals brought her to Atlanta where she has now lived for over two years. Along with her full time career, Kacie’s commitment to her profession has led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Administration at Kennesaw State University. She is a member of North Point Church and has had the passion and good fortune to have traveled both domestically and internationally. Her travels have taken her throughout the United States, Mexico, Europe and Asia. Kacie is excited to serve on the Board of Directors with the Cobb Faith Partnership and looks forward to both learning from and contributing to the organization.

TREASURER: Susan Williams - Program Director, MUST Smyrna
Susan, a CFP founding member, served as Co-Vice President. Having chaired the first two Small Ministries Making a Big Difference forums, she is co-chairing this year’s Forum. Susan is a Cobb County native, graduating from Sprayberry High School, Young Harris College and Georgia State University. She and her husband, Rev. Wayne Williams founded MUST Ministries in 1971. Susan is mom to two daughters, Jessica Moore and Deborah Williams. Susan also enjoys being a grandmother to Olivia, age three and Walker, age 1 month. One of her proudest accomplishments is helping start MUST's Loaves & Fishes Community Kitchen in 1984, now serving hot nutritious meals to 200 homeless men, women and children each day. Over the years, Susan worked a variety of jobs at MUST from volunteer coordinator to newsletter editor. In 1996, she became Program Director of MUST’s Smyrna location - overseeing the food pantry, clothing ministry, bread & sweets distribution, and employment services. An average 160 persons are served in a typical 4-hour day by 3 staff and 12 volunteers. In 2004, Susan was honored by the YWCA as one of Cobb County’s Women of Achievement. Susan is also a member of the Smyrna Optimist Club. She and her husband currently serve a pastoral appointment at Plainville United Methodist Church. Susan enjoys being a part of Cobb County’s faith-based community, collaborating to serve our neighbors in need.

MEMBER AT LARGE: Sherwood K. "Woody" Smith - Executive Director, Disciples Food Pantry; Pastorial Associate and Elder, Marietta First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
Sherwood, better known as "Woody," graduated from Pennsylvania State University where he majored in Architecture. Following school, he moved to Sarasota, Florida to intern and to be near his parents who needed assistance. After the recession of the early seventies, he became a professional City Planning Consultant and, during 1991, he and his family moved to Woodstock, Georgia where he continued his consultant practice. After volunteering for several years in the Food Pantry at First Christian Church (FCC), Woody became its Director at the beginning of 1998 when the Pantry became too large for an all-volunteer staff. Several years later, he and Dr. Jerry Gladson (Senior Pastor at FCC) were founding members of Cobb Assistance Partnership (CAP) which later became Cobb Faith Partnership (CFP). The last two years, he has served as the Chair of the "Small Ministries Making a Big Difference" Forum, one of CFP's most successful events. This year he is again serving on the Forum Planning Committee, but as Co-Chair. On January 1, 2008, Woody celebrated his tenth year anniversay as Executive Director of the Disciples Mission Food Pantry which, through his tenure, has assisted 53,583 Cobb County families with over 1.6 million pounds of food.
